TUM Urban Design. Bachelor

2014 – 2016
Technische Universität München

In this design studio students engage with heterogenous urban sites and mixed programmes. The 2014 and 2015 projects were located in Munich's inner city fringebelt and covered a section of the now derelict stockyard. At the present low density commercial uses intermingle with temporary uses on the site, such as a community garden and an open air cinema. The stockyard area is currently in public focus, for it will accommodate Munich's new Volkstheater. In the 2016 project, students work on and in the proximity of a former tram interchange and traffic junction in Munich's southeastern district Obersendling. Norbert is co-teaching this degree course at the Chair of Urban Design and Regional Planning.
