Memory Model

type: animated model
year: 1999

Starting point for this conceptual model was the idea that memories of places could travel and by doing so would un-dergo constant change. In an attempt to derive certain spatial qualities from that, a shortcut between "spatial imagination" and reality is established.

The intention was to visualise invisible and subjective processes of memorising, which play a key role in the perception and assessment of everyday situations and to recreate certain spatial qualities from that. Concepts incorporated included interdependencies of elements, regulative mechanisms, repetition, subjective parameters and comparison.
